Classical education is like a very large museum with many beautiful, wonder-filled rooms that could be studied over a lifetime. It is a long tradition of education that has emphasized the seeking after of truth, goodness, and beauty and the study of the liberal arts and the great books. What are the liberal arts? They are grammar, logic, rhetoric (the verbal arts of the trivium), arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy (the mathematical arts of the quadrivium). This approach to education also includes the study of Latin. The classical approach teaches students how to learn and how to think.

Why don't you want your school to close?

"Because we have a lot of children, and we HAVE to go to school for education. Also, the teachers there are not too hard but they really want us to work to get an education.  They care if we are learning! And sometimes, it can be really fun! "  ~ A fourth grader

St. Anthony Academy is 15 years old and has had its share of growing pains, but this year the school is under a real threat of closing. The current lease ends this summer, and with the scheduled increase in rent for a new lease, combined with the substantial decrease (33%) in students due to relocation, it leaves the school far short of its needed funds for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Christian schools ought to be places where children are trained in the Christian world-and-life view. I assert that it is the duty of believers to see to it that their children’s education is consistent with their Christian convictions.
